Each of Lacordaire Academy’s 12 graduates has been accepted to a four-year institution, according to the school.

The academy celebrated its commencement exercises June 5 on the front yard of James Hall on Lorraine Avenue.

The graduating young women were led to the steps by a traditional bagpiper and members of both the faculty and board of trustees.

“It was a difficult year for these students due to the pandemic, but they persevered and made it through,” a message from the school describing the commencement said.

This year’s valedictorian was Macrina Makar, and the salutatorian was Isabella Johnson.

The school’s message said speeches from both top students and Head of School Megan Mannato focused on the resilience and the pride students have for being Lacordaire graduates.
