Belleville man taken to hospital after motor vehicle accident

A 77-year-old Belleville man was taken to the hospital with injuries following a motor vehicle accident Tuesday morning.

Police Lt. David O’Dowd said that the man was turning onto South Fullerton Avenue from Plymouth Street when he struck the rear of a vehicle parked in front of the Montclair Public Library. This caused the man’s vehicle to cross over South Fullerton Avenue and strike three cars on Roosevelt Place, O'Dowd said.

The man sustained a laceration on his head and arm, and no other injuries were reported, O'Dowd said.
