Blood drive in Montclair in honor of 4-year-old with leukemia
The Montclair Women's Club is hosting a blood drive in honor of Ayden Paredes, a 4-year-old who from Long Island was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
The drive is at 82 Union St. on Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 1 to 7 p.m. Appointments can be made at nybc.org/newjerseydrive using sponsor code 71133, or by texting 917-699-9073.
Donors must wear masks or face coverings, will have their temperatures taken, must be 14 days free of symptoms if recovering from COVID-19, must not have had positive coronavirus tests in the last 14 days and may not donate if currently on self-quarantine restrictions.
Donors will need to bring their ID cards with their names and photos, and should eat and drink plenty of fluids before donating.
