Montclair boys lacrosse was only leading 4-3 at halftime Montclair Kimberley in the battle of the rivals on Friday, March 13. The Mounties would pull away late in the 9-4 victory over the Cougars.
Montclair High School boys lacrosse dropped a 14-4 decision at Seton Hall Prep in the Essex County Tournament semi-finals. Montclair Kimberley was eliminated from the ECT in the quarterfinals with a 13-3 defeat at second-seeded West Essex on May 3.
After a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19, the Mounties came to row, as nine of their 10 boats reached the finals and seven walked away with medals, including four state championship golds, a silver and two bronzes as the program celebrates its 20th year.
The Montclair baseball team has been playing well recently by winning six out of seven games including defeating Seton Hall Prep, 4-3, on April 11 that started the run.
