College Women’s Club of Montclair holds book sale

The semi-annual sale of used books and music sponsored by the College Women’s Club of Montclair opens officially today and continues through April 9.

The sale features books, LPs, CDs, DVDs, audio- and videotapes, sheet music, software, and ephemera. All proceeds go toward college scholarship awards for girls in area high schools.

Book Sale Headquarters is at 26 Park St. on the lower level, opposite the YMCA.

Today, March 30, is Opening Day. There is an $15 entry fee from 9:30 a.m. till noon; no fee from noon to 9 p.m.

The sale is also open Friday, March 31, 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday, April 1, 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m.; and Sunday, April 2, 1-6 p.m. Special half-price day for teachers and librarians with professional ID.

The sale is closed Monday through Thursday, April 3-6.

It re-opens Friday, April 7, 9:30 a.m.-9 p.m., a half-price day; it’s also open Saturday, April 8, 9:30 a.m.-7 p.m., for “Bag Day,” in which patrons can fill a grocery bag full for $5.

The sale closes out with another “Bag Day” on Sunday, April 9, from 1-6 p.m.
