The Creativity Caravan, 28 South Fullerton Ave., will close at the end of this year, write owners Maya Stein and Amy Tingle. After two years, with the lease renewal pending, they evaluated their ability to operate the studio and devote the time and energy to it and decided the challenge is one they “no longer feel we can sustainably meet,” they wrote in an email.

In addition, they intend to offer more traveling programs and work on engaging communities outside of New Jersey. They will fulfill programs scheduled through December, and continue to bring select programs to Montclair.

They write, “We are not closing our business, but rather moving into its next incarnation. That said, it is a bittersweet announcement — we will be sad to let our little space go. We have learned and grown so much through our residency in the studio. We are also deeply grateful for the supportive and enthusiastic embrace we have been graced with by our community friends, and we look forward to sharing the unfolding journey of our work, here and beyond, as we move into the new big chapter ahead.”
