MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell will be in conversation with award-winning news producer and Montclair resident Tom Johnson on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 4 p.m., at the Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Ave.

O’Donnell relies on his background in politics, entertainment, and news, to provide the last word on the biggest issues and most compelling stories of the day for MSNBC. Before becoming a political analyst, he was an Emmy Award-winning executive producer and writer for the NBC series “The West Wing” and also served as Senior Advisor to Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan. A writer prior to entering politics and government, Mr. O’Donnell published the book Deadly Force in 1983.

Mr. Johnson’s most recent work includes Showtime’s weekly documentary series, "The Circus: Inside the Biggest Story on Earth." Previously, he was Executive Editor of Bloomberg Politics and Executive Producer of the nightly politics program, :With All Due Respect. Prior to that he spent two decades at ABC News."Playing with Fire: The 1968 Election and the Transformation of American Politics," a new book from the host of MSNBC’s "The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell", is a new account of the the race that created American politics as we know it today.
