Culture in brief: ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ book club at Montclair Library

Online registration is available for valid Montclair Public Library card holders. All others should call the Youth Services Department to be added to the waiting list.

A three-part monthly book club about Madeleine L’Engle’s classic "A Wrinkle in Time" for children in grades 4 to 6 begins at the Montclair Public Library, 50 South Fullerton Ave., on Friday, Jan. 5,  in anticipation of the upcoming film.  The group will discuss the book's metaphors, characters, plot, connections and lessons. After the first two classes the group will meet at a theater (TBD) and watch the movie.* It will then meet again on March 16 to discuss the book vs. the movie. Book club dates are January 5, February 9 and March 16, 5pm-6pm; discussions will be led by Ms. O’Connor, Reading Specialist from StarlightStudentStage.com, who has been hosting book-clubs and tutoring in Montclair for 17 years.
