Do we really want partisan, nasty BOE races in Montclair? (Letter to the editor)
On Oct. 21, 2021, The New York Times published an opinion piece by Stephanie Saul called “Energizing Conservative Voters, One School Board At A Time.” It gives a chilling account of one town near Milwaukee where the fear of teaching critical race theory (which they don’t even teach) has resulted in recall elections and and a divided community. Their school board elections have become partisan, contentious and nasty, which is never good for a school district.
Is this what Montclair really wants? Please vote no on the BOE referendum.
