Emerald ring, watches stolen from Montclair apartment, police say
Multiple watches and an emerald ring were stolen from a Montclair man's apartment last week, police said.
A man reported that his Bloomfield Avenue apartment was entered at some point between Nov. 2 and Nov. 4. Multiple watches and an emerald ring were reportedly removed from a closet.
The following additional activity has been reported by Montclair Police in their weekly blotter:
Friday, Nov. 5 — A resident reported that his 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from his driveway on Durya Road during the overnight hours. The keys to the vehicle were accidentally left in a gym bag within the vehicle.
Friday, Nov. 5 — A resident reported that he parked his 2016 Mercedes Benz S500 running in his driveway on Grove Street. The vehicle was recovered in Elizabeth on Sunday.
Tuesday, Nov. 9 — A man reported that his bicycle was stolen from the bike rack at the Bay Street Train Station. The bicycle was described as a black 20-inch Trek Vita Sport.
Tuesday, Nov. 2 — A 49-year-old from Glen Ridge was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue.
Sunday, Nov. 7 — A 40-year-old from Mountainside was charged with driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle stop on Bloomfield Avenue.
