The Holocaust Council of Greater MetroWest NJ presents the Opening Reception for Women During the Holocaust as part of the larger exhibit From Memory to History:Faces and Voices of the Holocaust
The Holocaust Council of Greater MetroWest NJ’s new exhibit, Women During the Holocaust, shines a light on the unique and varied stories of women who survived, fought, helped Jews hide or escape, or worked to maintain a level of dignity for others in the face of adversity. At the opening reception, Martin Dvorak, the Consul General of the Czech Republic, will speak, as will Barbara Winton, author of If It’s Not Impossible: The Life of Sir Nicolas Winton. Winton will share the story of her father’s efforts to save 669 Czechoslovakian Jewish children, mostly Jewish, from the Nazis and the women who helped make this possible. Book signing and dessert reception to follow.
When: Thursday, January 28 at 7 p.m. The exhibit will be on display until May 5.
