A Woman About Town
June 6, 2015 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
$5This walking tour begins in front of a typical upper middle class home on Prospect Terrace, from the vantage point of a woman who lived there in the early 20th century. Learn about Montclair’s history, focusing on the late 1800s to mid-1900s, a period of great growth and change, as it would have likely been experienced by this Montclair family; the tour shines a special spotlight on a woman’s experience during that time and typical activities and interests. A tour will also be given inside the First Congregational Church. We’ll be walking about a mile, with the tour starting at 15 Prospect Terrace and ending at 58 South Fullerton Avenue, the current Mills Social Services building, with a viewing of the gardens in back. Led by MHS Board of Trustee member Helen Fallon and MHS Manager of Audience Engagement, Angelica Diggs. Suggested donation of $5.
