This panel will be an examination of the debates around identities and difference in the 1990s, and how those debates have changed over the last twenty-plus years. It will feature four artists and theorists whose work was pivotal in shaping these debates, and will be moderated by Huey Copeland, Associate Professor of Art History, with affiliations in the Department of African American Studies and the Program in Gender and Sexuality Studies at Northwestern University.
