Cali Brass Spring Concert

Brass students from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University will present their annual Spring Brass Concert on Friday, May 15 at 7:30pm at St. James Episcopal Church, 581 Valley Road in Upper Montclair. The program will feature student chamber ensembles, soloists with piano accompaniment, and unaccompanied solo works. Repertoire ranges from J. S. Bach to Olivier Messiaen to Eric Ewazen. Sophomore Victoria Rakus, winner of the 2015 MSU Brass Band Solo Competition, will perform her winning piece, Rhapsody for Trombone and Brass Band by British composer Gordon Langford.
