Music in Montclair Series

The Music in Montclair Series will present its second concert on Sunday, November 1st, at 6:00pm at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair. The event will feature the clarinet, viola and piano trio “Piaclava” in an evening of lively and engaging music by American composers.The program offers exciting new works by Robert Livingston Aldridge, Amanda Harberg, Thomas Parente, Jessica Meyer, John Kaefer and Roger Stubblefield, with all of the composers in attendance at the concert to meet the audience and speak about their music. Piaclava will also offer favorites by George Gershwin and Gordon Jacob.The lineup of award-winning performers includes clarinetist Benjamin Fingland, violist Jessica Meyer, pianist Amanda Harberg, and a special appearance by the congregation’s Composer-in-Residence pianist Thomas Parente.Music in Montclair is founded and artistically directed by composer/pianist Amanda Harberg, and is hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair. The series seeks to bring to our community the highest level of performances of powerful music by living composers that adds meaning to people’s lives.
