The Taming of the Shrew – by William Shakespeare
September 13, 2015 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Free
The St. James Players is proud to present our 2015 production of Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew. Enjoy this timeless comedy in a relaxed setting, directed by local author and English professor, James Broderick of Glen Ridge. Find out if the loud, boisterous, eccentric and quick-witted Petruchio can actually “tame” the sharp-tongued, quick-tempered, and often prone to violence, Katharina.
The play, which will be performed in the Sanctuary of St. James Church in Upper Montclair (581 Valley Rd. at the corner of Bellevue Ave.), has been edited down for modern audiences, and is expected to run 90 minutes.
Admission is free, but donations are greatly appreciated to support our costs.
