If you’re just waking up and forgot to spring ahead, you slept in and it’s after 10 a.m. Daylight Saving Time started at 2:00 a.m. Sunday morning. The Montclair Fire Department reminds residents to change the batteries in their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors when turning their clocks forward one hour this weekend.
Montclair Community Band is also springing ahead with its free “End of Winter” Concert today (Sunday, March 9th, 2014, 3pm at the Montclair High School Auditorium). Conducted by Jim Wasko, the program will feature a variety of music including ‘Irish Suite’ by Leroy Anderson, ‘Overture to Candide’ by Leonard Bernstein, ‘Lincoln’ by John Williams, Music of Michael Buble and marches by John Philip Sousa.
