Montclair Film is partnering with the Montclair Public Library to show a free outdoor screening of “Gnomeo,” a family-friendly story about garden gnomes in the homes of Miss Capulet and Mr. Montague, on Friday, July 26. When Gnomeo (James McAvoy) falls in love with Juliet (Emily Blunt) they have many obstacles to overcome.

The screening will include a live performance by local music therapist Rachel Kohn, featuring interactive musical experiences for young children ages toddler through second grade.

“Come ready to be silly, dance, sing and play along!” writes Montclair Film.

The screening is at the Main Library, 50 South Fullerton Ave. The venue opens at 7 p.m., and the film will begin at sundown (8:30 p.m.). Families are encouraged to bring a picnic. The rain date is Saturday, July 27.
