Improv workshops in July and August

Circle of Sparks Playback is offering Playback StoryTelling improv workshops for ages 15 and up on four Mondays, July 26 and Aug. 2, 9 and 16, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at The Culture Loft, 13 Montclair Ave.

The 90-minute workshops include fun exercises and theater games to build skills for improvisational storytelling. No prior experience is necessary.

Playback Improv is a community-building theater form that combines storytelling and improvisational theater where workshop participants learn to enact stories shared in the group, or “play them back.”

Director and producer Elaine Molinaro and actor and musician Laura Hoffman formed Circle of Sparks Playback, a company of 10 members, in 2019. Circle of Sparks is a program of Culture Connection Theater, a 501c3 nonprofit organization.
