
In brief: return of the Saxum elf
The Saxum Elf has returned. On Sunday, Dec. 14, the 12-foot tall figure again took up residency on the roof of 475 Bloomfield Ave.
Saxum Real Estate writes, "From this vantage point, he is able to see the entirety of downtown Montclair and watch the community swell with holiday spirit. This is #TheSaxumElf’s second to last stop this holiday season. This year #TheSaxumElf chose four vantage points from the Saxum portfolio to engage with communities and bring an abundance of holiday spirit. Saxum Real Estate has sponsored the 12 foot tall figure for three years. The company has four buildings in Montclair. The one on which the elf sits, 475 Bloomfield Ave., is a 25,000 squre foot building with a raised roof featuring a a large skylight, marble interior and meticulous architectural details throughout. Saxum is currently renovating the property into high-end boutique office and retail spaces, and expects to deliver the building in 2021.
