AIM, or Aging in Montclair, invites the community to the August Saturday Social on Saturday,

Aug. 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the AIM Senior Hub located in the Salvation Army Building at 13 Trinity Place in Montclair in the “Coffee Booth” on the middle level. Guest speakers Bill Deerr and Brandi Biehl from Turtle Back Zoo will discuss the story of the life and struggles of the sea turtle.

“Sea turtles have been around for more than 100 million years and are now under constant threat from pollution, boats hitting them and other causes of endangerment. Bill and Brandi will talk about the road to recovery for these intriguing creatures,” AIM writes.

The talk will provide information about the Sea Turtle Recovery at the Turtle Back Zoo, a long-term hospital for sick and injured turtles. Parking is available in the underground garage (outside doors are locked on the weekend); enter through the elevator to the middle level. Call 973-707-5088 for information.
