The saga of the potential Lackawanna Plaza development is becoming tedious and increasingly worrisome. Simultaneously, the burden on the township infrastructure is becoming an issue (four burst water main emergencies this fall). To what extent has the construction of several seven-story buildings contributed to an overload on the infrastructure? The proposed construction of five new buildings, most of them six stories, on the Lackawanna site would, of course, increase the apparently already excessive burden on township utilities and traffic infrastructure. Perhaps beyond acceptable.
