Brief: Montclair Farmers’ Market open in winter
The Montclair Farmers’ Market is open all year at the Walnut Street train station. Though there are fewer vendors in winter, they write, there is still a large variety of items for sale: “On the coldest winter days shoppers can find fresh eggs, meat, apples and other fruit, foraged mushrooms, lettuce, peppers and other produce grown hydroponically, fish, pickles, spices and baked goods.
By shopping at the Farmers’ Market you support your own health and the hard work of New Jersey farmers. Also, buying local reduces emissions from long distance food transport.”
The Farmers’ Market is open on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain, shine or snow.
