Montclair Film announces "An Evening with Stephen Colbert and Meryl Streep," to be held on Saturday, Dec. 1, at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). Stephen Colbert, host of CBS’ “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert,” will host an evening with three-time Academy Award-winner Meryl Streep. Tickets begin at $79.50 and will go on sale Tuesday, Sept. 25 at 10 a.m. to Montclair Film members. American Express members will receive pre-sale access on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m., and public ticket sales will begin on Friday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m.

All proceeds from this special evening will benefit Montclair Film, a 501(c)3 non-profit arts organization that hosts the annual Montclair Film Festival (May 3- May 12, 2019), as well as year-round film education, cinema, and community programs that reach over 43,000 patrons a year. This event is made possible with generous support from northjersey.com.

“Meryl Streep is one of the greatest film artists of our time and to have her join Stephen Colbert onstage is an extraordinary gift,” Montclair Film Executive Director Tom Hall said in a release. “This event provides our non-profit organization with vital support that allows us to deliver world class film, media literacy, and education programs to our patrons and students. We’re so grateful to Stephen, Meryl, and our friends at NJPAC and NorthJersey.com for their generosity in making this event possible. It is going to be an unforgettable evening.”

“This unique event is a double homecoming for NJPAC. We’re happy to welcome back our friends and partners at Montclair Film, as well as this year’s special guest, New Jersey daughter Meryl Streep,” stated John Schreiber, President and CEO of NJPAC. “Meryl Streep is a magnificent dramatic actress, but she’ll also be a great comedic foil to Stephen Colbert. I know the two of them will have a lot of spontaneous fun in Prudential Hall and so will 2,800 of their biggest fans.”

Tickets will be available by telephone at 1-888-GO-NJPAC (1-888-466-5722), at the NJPAC Box Office at One Center Street in downtown Newark, and online at njpac.org and ticketmaster.com.
