Montclair fourth-grader receives award for score on international math exam

Montclair fourth-grader Onward Fernandez received an Achievement Award for his performance on the International Math Kangaroo Exam.

Fernandez obtained a perfect score on the Level 6 exam, ranked first in New Jersey and ranked first nationally.

Fernandez, a full-time homeschool student, spent the past year preparing for the exam.
