News in brief: Montclair High School students hold Columbine sit-in
Montclair High School students held a sit-in on April 18 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Columbine High School shootings.
The shootings at the high school in Littleton, Colorado, on April 20, 1999, resulted in the deaths of 12 students and one teacher, and many others were injured.
The sit-in at Montclair High School also paid tribute to the victims of the Virginia Tech shooting on April 16, 2007.
In 2018, students held a mass walkout in the wake of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida.
Principal Anthony Grosso sent a letter to parents and guardians informing them of the sit-in.
