The Adult School Department of Montclair Public Library in partnership with Amor Nazario, Kristine Massari and Alay Performing Arts will be holding “A Journey through the Philippines: Filipino Arts, Music, and Culture” on Wednesday, July 13. 

The event will be open to all and will highlight the culture of the 7,100 islands in the Philippine archipelago. It will start at 3 p.m. at the Montclair Public Library. The activities include: 

Philippine Eggshell Mosaic Workshop

3 p.m., 1st floor Café (families and children)

Baybayin Script Tattoo Art

4 p.m., 1st floor Café (children and young adults)

Paper Folding Crafts

4:30 p.m., 1st floor Café (children)

The Art of Mindanao, A suite of choreographed indigenous dances

5 p.m., Auditorium (all ages)

The Art of Rondalla, the Philippine Traditional String Orchestra

6 p.m., Auditorium (all ages)
