Greg Pason, Montclair Make Music Day Coordinator, has announced that Montclair Make Music Day will be three days long this year, from June 21 through June 23.
For the fifth consecutive year, Montclair will be one of more than 65 cities across the United States taking part in Make Music Day. Unlike previous years, Montclair is expanding the day of music into a three-day celebration of music and the arts running from June 21 to June 23.
The Montclair Make Music Day collective is made up of volunteers, musicians, non-profits, small business owners, and students. The first Montclair Make Music Day took place in 2014 and was successful because the community embraced it and organizations like Terry’s Serendipity Café and the 73 See Gallery provided volunteers and support. Local arts organization, Indie Arts Montclair (IAM), is also partnering with Make Music Day this year, sharing resources and helping with organization.
