News in brief: Montclair mom and entrepreneur on ‘Shark Tank’
Montclair mom Nicki Radzely pitched her self-protective pacifier, from Doddle & Co., in which the nipple pops back into a self-protective bubble when it drops, to the business moguls on ABC’s “Shark Tank” on Sunday, Jan. 21.

The sharks questioned Radzely’s $5 million valuation. She asked for $250,000 for a 5 percent stake of her company. Sara Blakely, the creator of Spanx shapewear, made the first offer ($250,000 for 15 percent) before Lori Greiner jumped in to make it a joint offer at a 20 percent stake.
But Kevin O’Leary won out by agreeing to a lower percentage (10 percent) in her company in exchange for his $250,000. Radzely accepted his offer, shocking Mark Cuban, Damon John and the other sharks.
