ARRESTS
Saturday, Oct. 12—A 33-year-old Belleville woman was arrested on the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and South Park Street, and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Sunday, Oct. 13—A 29-year-old Garfield man was arrested on the corner of Bloomfield Avenue and New Street, and charged with driving while intoxicated.
Monday, Oct. 14—A 31-year-old Clifton man was arrested on the corner of Valley Road and Normal Avenue, and charged with driving while intoxicated.
BURGLARY/THEFT
Tuesday, Oct. 8— A wallet was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on Claremont Place sometime between Oct. 6 and 7.
Wednesday, Oct. 9—An Assurance Wireless Virgin Mobile cell phone valued at approximately $55, was reportedly stolen on North Mountain Avenue.
Thursday, Oct. 10—A jewelry box containing over $1,000 in jewelry and a Google Chromebook laptop valued at approximately $300 were reportedly stolen from a Virginia Avenue residence sometime during the evening.
Saturday, Oct. 12—An employee of Diamond Cycle, 409 Bloomfield Ave., reported to police that the business was burglarized by three males who were caught on video camera. Entry was possibly gained through an unsecured window. Items stolen included $300 in cash, a Salsa Beargrease Carbon NX Eagle with navy blue and red coloring on the frame, valued at $2,899, a Giant ATX mountain bike, black and orange in color and valued at $440, and a SE Bike Fat Ripper with a yellow frame and red tires, valued at $949.
Saturday, Oct. 12— A Greenwood Avenue apartment was burglarized sometime on Oct. 11 between noon and 11 p.m. Items reported stolen included a Vizio 65 inch television valued at $400 and an iPhone X valued at $600.
Saturday, Oct. 12— An Orange Road home was burglarized sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. It appears that the suspect(s) gained entry through an unlocked door. A MacBook Air, valued at $1,200 was stolen.
Saturday, Oct. 12—An employee at 7-Eleven, 15 Bloomfield Ave., reports that between 12:30 a.m. and 1:45 a.m., a group of approximately seven males entered the store, with one walking behind the counter trying to take a blunt roller from behind the counter. The employee told police the group became disrespectful and shouted profanities at him. The employee told the group to leave the store and that he was going to call the police. Upon leaving, one male reportedly stole $12 in food while another stole a $2 scratch off lottery card.
Saturday, Oct. 12—A black Trek bike, valued at approximately $425, was reportedly stolen from the rear of a Valley Road property. The bike was reportedly locked.
Sunday, Oct. 13—An Apple iPhone 10, valued at approximately $1,000, was reportedly stolen after the owner mistakenly left it on a counter at Whole Foods Market, 701 Bloomfield Ave.
Monday, Oct. 14—An iPhone 6, valued at $800, was reportedly stolen sometime on Oct. 13 between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. The exact location of the alleged theft is not known.
VANDALISM
Thursday, Oct. 10—The rear driver’s side window of a Nissan Versa was shattered on Montague Place. Nothing was reported missing.
SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT
Friday, Oct. 11—The rear driver’s side window of a Nissan Versa was shattered on Montague Place. Nothing was reported missing.
Friday, Oct. 11—The complainant reports that at approximately 9 p.m., she and a family member heard a loud bang at the front door of their North Fullerton Avenue home. Upon investigating the source of the noise, the family member saw four juveniles in hooded sweatshirts fleeing south on foot.
