Montclair resident William Hobbs has been named festival director for the upcoming 39th annual New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning and the 12th annual Rock, Ribs & Ridges music and food festival, two of New Jersey's popular summer events.

Hobbs' experience includes digital marketing, box office operations, vendor relations, volunteer staffing and event administration, with events and organizations including the Blue Ridge Rock Festival, Suwannee Hulaween, FloydFest, Rooster Walk Music Festival, and the 5 Points Music Foundation.

“The New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning enjoys a long history of creating memories that last a lifetime for generations of families and Rock, Ribs & Ridges offers a truly unique experience,” Hobss said. “I look forward to being a part of this tradition and continuing to make people feel excited and feel at home when they attend both festivals.”

The 39th annual New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning is the largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival in North America. Featuring up to 100 sport and special shaped hot air balloons taking flight twice each day and a live concert series.

The annual three-day festival will be held on July 29 through July 31 at the Solberg Airport in Readington.

The 12th annual Rock, Ribs & Ridges festival features three days of country, classic and Southern rock at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in Augusta.

Festival-goers will have the opportunity to enjoy barbecue served up by top pitmasters from around the country, who will also participate in a juried rib cook-off.

Presented by Franklin Sussex Auto Mall, the Rock, Ribs & Ridges will have an outdoor concert from June 24 through June 26. The festival offers VIP shaded seating, group table seating and the opportunities for camping out and RV stays throughout the weekend.
