Montclair’s Autumn Turner competes on NBC’s ‘The Voice’
Montclair’s Autumn Turner was on the 12-member team chosen by Alicia Keys, and will compete in “Battle Rounds” against teams chosen by Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, and Gwen Stefani.
During the show on Tuesday, Feb. 28, all four judges asked Turner to be on their teams after she sang Donna Summer’s “Last Dance.”
But coaches can steal losing contestants and this past Monday, Adam Levine, the frontman for Maroon 5, stole her to be on his team after her battle with teammate Vanessa Ferguson. Turner and Ferguson sang a duet on Fugees’ version of “Killing Me Softly with His Song.” Gwen Stefani asked for Turner as well, but the singer chose Levine. Turner is a 2009 graduate of Lacordaire.
