Mountainside Pool to open May 28, other pools closed until June 29
Mountainside Pool will open May 28, but due to ongoing construction, Montclair's Nishuane and Essex pools are anticipated to open June 29 as construction completes.
The township will provide updated information about the construction work, the township said in an announcement.
Mountainside Pool will operate on weekends until June 28, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. On June 29, the township anticipates opening Nishuane and Essex pools depending on the completion of the construction surrounding the pool areas, the announcement says.
Pool fees are:
- $250 for a family (two adults and two or more children, or a single parent with three or more children)
- $85 for an adult
- $60 for a child/youth
- $25 for a senior
- $85 for a caregiver.
Daily passes and guests will not be permitted at the pool, the announcement says. Registration is at Communitypass.net/Montclair, and proof of residency is required for registration.
The Montclair Recreation and Cultural Affairs department will be open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The office will be open until 8 p.m. on May 17, June 13 and June 21 for pool pass pickup.
