The Montclair Police Department donated 55 retired bulletproof vests for use by volunteer medical workers operating in areas affected by the war in Ukraine.

The vests were donated by the department to two organizations, Instytut Ratownictwa Medycznego (the Institute for Emergency Medicine) and Medycyna Praktyczna (Medicine in Practice). The two organizations are providing medical supplies for hospitals and rescue teams operating in areas affected by the war.

They create targeted shipments to individual hospitals with sets of surgical instruments, equipment and consumables, and have a network of trusted drivers who deliver to hot spots in Ukraine.
