Montclair will receive $412,754 in aid in 2020 for an overhaul of Mount Hebron Road. The aid is part of the Municipal Aid grant awards.

Montclair’s sum includes a $400,000 grant, plus a $12,754 in urban allotment. 

The state grant is the first awards being made under the new Municipal Aid grant cycle to better align with the state’s construction season and municipal budget cycles.

A total of 542 cities and towns across the state are receiving a total of $1.2 million in grants to advance road, bridge, safety, and quality-of-life improvements.
