New principals have been assigned to some of Montclair's schools.
Patrick Krenn has been named as the permanent principal at Watchung School. He has been serving as the school’s acting principal since being transferred from Hillside last year.
Thomas Adamo will be the new permanent principal at Hillside, after he was brought in to replace Krenn.
At Glenfield, Erika Pierce will become the school’s new principal. Frances Aboushi, the head of House Aboushi, will become the school’s new vice principal.
Pierce succeeds Cheryl Hopper, who stepped down as principal — the school’s third in a year — in June.
At Montclair High School, three new vice principals were announced: Sally Ann Howell-Rembert, Mirta Alsina and Reginald Clark.
At the high school, it is customary for the school to have four assistant principals, one for each grade level, Superintendent Kendra Johnson said.
The announcement comes a year after several principals were rotated among Montclair’s schools, in an effort to fill up staffing vacancies,, starting at the administrative level.
All of the appointments take effect no later than July 16.
