The Montclair Historic Preservation Commission will hold a community meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 7 p.m. to discuss the nomination proposals to designate the Oakcroft and Wheeler Street neighborhoods as Local Landmark Districts.

Cultural resource surveys and draft nomination proposals for these two neighborhoods have been prepared for the township by Connolly & Hickey Historical Architects. The surveys and nominations were funded by a Historic Preservation Fund grant awarded to the township by the New Jersey Historic Preservation Office.

The public is invited to attend the meeting to meet with Connolly & Hickey and learn about the nomination proposals.

A public hearing by the Historic Preservation Commission will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10, regarding the nomination proposals.

The meeting will take place in the council chambers of the Montclair Municipal Building and will also be broadcast on Montclair TV34 and streamed live on the Montclair Government YouTube channel.
