Andrew D. Kalmanson of New Fairfield, Connecticut, formerly of Montclair, a physician's assistant with a surgery and sports medicine group and at Westchester Medical Center, died on Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2022, at his home. He was 52.

Mr. Kalmanson was born in Brooklyn, a son of Kenneth and Judith (Rothenberg) Kalmanson of Montclair. The family moved to Montclair in 1982.

He attended Glenfield Middle School and graduated from Montclair High School in 1988. At the high school he was a member of the wrestling team and also participated in several musical activities, playing the saxophone and the keyboard.

He then attended Ithaca College, where he majored in psychology with a minor in art.

Mr. Kalmanson graduated from the City College of New York’s Harlem Hospital physician assistant program. He worked as a physician's assistant with the Somers Orthopedic Surgery & Sports Medicine Group and at Westchester Medical Center.

He was a resident of New Fairfield for the past 13 years, having previously lived in Mount Kisco, New York.

Mr. Kalmanson is survived by his wife of 25 years, Lisa (Citrin) Kalmanson; a son, Zachary Kalmanson; a daughter, Mia Kalmanson; his parents, Kenneth and Judith (Rothenberg) Kalmanson, and a brother, Matthew (Alison) and his children, Eloise and Margot. 

The Kalmanson family will receive friends at the home of his parents in Montclair on Monday, Dec. 12, after 1 p.m., with minyan  at 7 p.m.
