Obituary: Anne Bess

Anne Bess of Montclair died on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019. 

Mrs. Bess was born and raised in New Brunswick, and is the daughter of the late Chester and Hulda Peterson. 

In 2002, she was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Edwin Earle Bess, and her siblings, Dr. Chester Peterson and Vivian Anderson.

Mrs. Bess is survived by her sons Mark Bess and his wife Donna, and David Bess and his wife Judith; grandchildren Cleo, Ray and Sebastian; nieces and nephews; and grandnephew Dr. Collins Lewis; and her extended family and friends. 

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 55 Montclair Ave., Montclair. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, also at St. John’s Episcopal Church. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, 1800 Lincoln Highway, North Brunswick.
