Obituary: Barbara Ann (Caggiano) Artale

Barbara Ann (Caggiano) Artale, of Montclair, died on Feb. 20, 2023. She was 75.

Mrs. Artale worked at Montclair State College and then at Sotheby’s Realty in Upper Montclair. 

She loved the beach and spending time in Manasquan, Lavallette and Ortley with her immediate and extended family. She also enjoyed traveling, but her favorite activity was spending time with her grandsons (music and sports).  

Mrs. Artale is survived by her children, Stephen (Michelle) and Jay (Isabel); her brothers, Michael J. Caggiano and Robert Caggiano (Mary); her sister, Susan Altieri (Vito); her grandchildren, Nicky, Julian, Zach, Jake and Dylan, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

She was predeceased by her high school sweetheart and husband, Art Artale; parents Nicholas and Josephine (Pondiscio) Caggiano; her sister-in-law, Carol Caggiano, and her niece, Dara Caggiano.

Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 23, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial Home for Funerals, 62 Grove St. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 24, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, with interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
