Obituary: Colleen Antonelli Zarrillo

Colleen Antonelli Zarrillo, of Montclair, died on Thursday, June 30, 2022. She was 84.

Mrs. Zarrillo was born and raised in Newark and raised her family with her husband of 57 years, Mike, in Montclair.  

She showed her love for children and teaching when she worked at Montessori School in Montclair. However, her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.  

She also enjoyed spending as much time as possible at the family’s home in Point Pleasant Beach, where family and friends were always welcome.  

Mrs. Zarrillo is survived by her children, Michael Thomas Zarrillo and Tracey Ann Perini; daughter-in-law, Teri; son-in-law, Dave; four grandchildren, Michael, Hailey, Morgan and Justin, and many nieces and nephews. 

She was predeceased by her husband, Mike, and sister, Etta Gelmi. 

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in Point Pleasant Beach.
