Donald Jay Scott, 70, a lifelong Montclair resident died on Aug. 16, 2017.  Visitation will be on Friday, Aug. 25 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Rising Mount Zion Baptist Church, 27 Monroe Place, Montclair, a memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Arrangements from Caggiano Memorial, Montclair.

Mr. Scott attended Austin Peay University, later earning his bachelor’s degree from Fordham University. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War, and worked in sales in the photography industry.

He leaves behind his wife, Shirley and daughter, Lisa, his siblings, Martha Scott Reynolds, Emma Scott Swiney (Edgar), Walter Scott (Brenda), William Scott (Patricia), JoAnn Scott Freeman (Charles), Randolph Scott and a host of nieces and nephews, and many friends.  He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur Lee and Jane Marshall Scott, and his siblings, Howard Marshall, Arthur Lee (Sonny) Scott , Norman (Snooki) Scott, and Elizabeth Francine (Franny) Scott.
