
Obituary: Emily Bell
A memorial service for Emily Bell, a former longtime Montclair resident who died last November, will be held on Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 30 North Fullerton Ave.
Mrs. Bell was born in Montclair and lived there until last year, when she moved to Leesburg, Florida. She was a graduate of Montclair High School.
She participated in the school’s On the Job program, where she worked at Hampton House in Montclair on weekday afternoons in place of her studies.
After graduation, she worked for Bankers National Life Insurance Co. in Verona.
She married William Bell in 1975, and several years later they welcomed a son, William. She worked part time for a while as she was raising their son.
Mrs. Bell was an avid bowler, loved her soaps, loved going to the Jersey Shore, and was a member of the Rosary Society at Immaculate Conception.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, William Bell; her son, William, and his wife and son; her brother, Ralph; her sister, Virginia; siblings through marriage, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Evelyn and Ralph.
