Frances T. Giammella, 96, died on Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019.
Mrs. Giammella was born on May 7, 1923 in Jersey City. She lived in Montclair for almost 40 years, and in Brick for 26 years.
Mrs. Giammella was predeceased by her husband Ignazio “Notzi” Giammella in 1976, her daughter Maryann Gustafson in 2002, and her siblings Mary, Tony, and Andy.
She is survived by her children, Patty Cardone, Robert and his wife Carol, Lucille Finnegan and her husband Ray, and grandchildren Sammy J., Danny, Jessica, Alicia, Candice, Ray Jr., Kaleigh, Cameron, Bobby and his wife Andrea, and Pam. She is also survived by her sister Blanche Iwowski, six great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer’s of New Jersey at alznj.org are requested.
Visitation will be from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location. Interment will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
