Giuseppe (Joseph) DiMaggio, 78, of Montclair, died on July 2, 2019 after a short but valiant battle against cancer. 

Mr. DiMaggio, was born to Gaetano and Gaetana (Gambino) DiMaggio and was raised in Torretta, Sicily, Italy with his two brothers, Salvatore and Natale, and his three sisters, Giuseppina, Rosaria, and Maria. 

Mr. DiMaggio and his wife, Emily, raised their family in Montclair. 

Mr. DiMaggio was predeceased by his wife of 38 years, Emily (Monaco), who died in 2007, and three siblings, Salvatore DiMaggio, Giuseppina Mignano, and Rosaria Scalici.

He is survived by his brother, Natale DiMaggio, and his sister, Maria Gambino; his daughters, Tina Morris (Bill Morris), Mary Volpe (Joseph Volpe), Sally DiMaggio, and Josephine Alexander (Tom Alexander); his eight beloved grandchildren, Joe and Sam Volpe; Emily, Kate, Allie, and Will Morris; and Amelia and Ryan Alexander; his sister-in-law, Debbie Rivera; his nephew, Mimmo Mignano; and his nieces, Tanina Davi, Michelle Rombough, and Mariana Galazzo; as well as a large extended family

Visitation was held Friday, July 5, at Caggiano Memorial Home in Montclair. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 6 at the same location. Interment followed at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.
