Obituary: Marie Janet Brown

Marie Janet Brown (Dade) 84, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019. The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020 at 11 a.m. for a memorial service at Caggiano Memorial, 62 Grove St, Montclair.

Mrs. Brown attended Jersey City Medical Center and pursued a professional career in the health field conducting X-Rays and Ultra Sounds for a number of doctor groups and hospitals.  

Mrs. Brown was a former member of Trinity Church in Montclair. She was a premier member of the “Fireside Five.”  She loved  the ocean, and was known by all for her effervescent personality. 

She is predeceased by her husband of 56 years, Edsel; sister Catherine Burroughs; and brother Scotty (Ernest). She leaves behind her son Edsel Jr (Perlita); grandchildren Edsel III, Loren, Gabrielle, and Xavier; sister Helen (McPherson); brother Ward; and other family members and friends.
