Obituary: Mario Michael Garone

Mario Michael Garone of Connecticut, formerly of Upper Montclair, died on June 4, 2022. He was 92.

Mr. Garone was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and New York University Law School. He was an attorney for ITT Corp. in Nutley for many years before retiring. He loved to sail and ski.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Garone Brodsky (Dr. Adam Brodsky); his grandsons, Luke and Nicholas; his nieces, Phyllis Giangresso, Dianne Kropp, Jane Cerrigone, Mary Garone Lentz, Carol Florio Wronko, Karen Garone Hurley and Dorothy Garone Finklestein, and his nephews, John Garone, Jerry Florio and John Florio.

Mr. Garone was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary (Lopardo) Garone; his brothers, Michael and Joseph Garone, and his sisters, Teresa Florio, Florence Allegri and Jeanette Garone.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on June 11 at St. Cassian Church, with interment at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
