Obituary: Mary Ann Nebergall Denny

Mary Ann Nebergall Denny née Bliss, formerly of Montclair, died on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019.

Mrs. Denny was born Dec. 16, 1931, to Margaret and Gerald Nebergall, she spent most of her life in Montclair and Pottersville before retiring to Naples, Fla.

A long-time summer resident of North Truro, Mass., she could be found most days on the tennis courts of Chequessett Yacht & Country Club or Freezer Beach.

She was predeceased by her first husband Peter Bliss, brother Robert Nebergall, nephew Tommy Dyal, daughter-in-law Diane D’Orsi Bliss and second husband Richard Denny.

Mrs. Denny is survived by her children, Susan Bliss of West Harwich, Mass., Ellen (Chip) DiPietro of North Reading, Mass., Sari (Michael) Johnson of San Pedro, Calif., and Crittenden Bliss III of Eastham, Mass.; her sisters Jane (Tom) Dyal and Sally Newell; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will take place in North Truro, Mass., during the summer of 2020.
