Mrs. Dorothy W. Hallmon, formerly of Montclair, died on Jan. 20, 2018. Funeral services were held on Jan. 27 at Al Young Funeral Home in Atlanta, Georgia.

She was a resident of Montclair from 1956 to 1995.

Mrs. Hallmon was  born on June 3, 1931. For many years, Mrs. Hallmon worked at Honeywell in Teterboro. In 1995, she retired and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia with her family. She loved to make people laugh with a joke or two, to dance, to sing and to shop. She was giving and caring, and always wanted to find a way to help others.

Mrs. Hallmon is survived by her sons John (Lillian) and Kevin (Tiesha) and a daughter Monica (Tony), four grandsons, John Jr. (Shelonda), Logan, Caleb and Cai; three granddaughters, Georgia (Phillip), Tanzella and Cheyenne; seven great grandchildren, Jorjeana, Phillip Jr. (Tasha), Michael (Janelle), Brehua, Samantha, John-John and Tiara and six great-great grandchildren, Alexander, Savannah, Sydney, Nay Nay, Bryson and Emily; two sister-in-laws Willa Lee and Rena, a brother-in-law Levie (Jerlean), her sister-friend Aberdeen Williams; and many nieces and nephews; and a host of “adopted” sons and daughters.
