Obituary: Patricia DeLorenzo

Patricia DeLorenzo of West Orange, formerly of Montclair, died on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was 93.

Mrs. DeLorenzo was a graduate of Douglass College of Rutgers University. Upon graduation she worked as a lab technician at Rockefeller Institute in New York City and then as a junior chemist at Hoffmann-LaRoche in Nutley, where she met her late husband of 58 years, William. 

She was an avid collector of antiques and had an interest in Eastern art and jewelry. She spent her time reading and researching any topics that piqued her curiosity. 

Mrs. DeLorenzo is survived by her children, Patricia DeLorenzo (John Patey), Mary Jane Sedlak (Joseph), William DeLorenzo Jr. (partner Kimberley Telling), and Barbara Rechan (Mark), and by her four grandchildren, Lexie, Joe, Natalie and Mark.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Caggiano Memorial Home for Funerals, 62 Grove St. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Oratory, 94 Pine St.
